Nursing Care in a Super-Aging Society Changing with Med-Tech-Care Synergy (1) - Toward a Society Where Everyone Can Care for Those Around Them -
"Towards a future co-created by medicine, engineering, and nursing." In Japan, which has entered a super-aged society, the initiative "Project CHANGE," aimed at innovating and industrializing nursing, has begun at the Nano Medical Innovation Center (iCONM) in Kawasaki City. Led by Takafumi Ikki, the research director of the center, the project brings together professionals from various universities, companies, as well as active physicians and nurses, to create tools and systems that enable anyone to provide care to those close to them. The focus is on improving the quality of care that leads to health and longevity, while also reducing the labor burden on care workers.
