Kawasaki Nursing Association develops equipment and technology through collaboration between nursing and engineering to reduce workload.

Summary:

The Kawasaki Nursing Association is participating in Project CHAMGE, a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) project aimed at reducing the burden on nurses in the field of nursing and developing devices and systems to solve the shortage of human resources due to the declining birthrate and aging population. Requests for useful devices and systems will be solicited from nurses in the city until the end of August, and engineering researchers will study them to develop Kawasaki's own nursing technology and products. Kanagawa Prefecture has the highest turnover rate of nurses in Japan. The project aims to lighten the burden on nurses and help them stay in the workforce.
