A paper presented by Prof. Kanjiro Miyata, University of Tokyo, and iCONM researchers on R&D Project 3 has been published on the web in ACS Omega

Drugs for muscle diseases such as muscular dystrophy and sarcopenia need to break through the biological barrier called the blood-muscle barrier.

Prof. Kanjiro Miyata and his team at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Engineering, who are active in CHANGE R&D Project 3, in collaboration with iCONM's NanoDDS research team, have developed a nanomachine that breaks through the blood-muscle barrier and successfully delivered heteroduplex oligonucleotides into muscle tissue in a mouse model.
